Carroll High School offers a wide array of academic, athletic, and arts-focused summer camps for young learners. Please contact the camp director if you have questions about procedures and policies about an individual camp.
This camp features instructions by varsity players and coaches, daily guest speakers, ball handling and special emphasis drills, offensive and defensive station work, free throw shooting. Each camper is provided with a camp t-shirt. Campers will experience hard work, competition, and fun through contests and awards, daily games, and camp champions at the end of the week! Join the Carroll Women's Basketball program for four days of personal and group instruction on the fundamental skills of the game: passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and man-to-man-defense. The Carroll Soccer Camp will offer the developing player a comprehensive week of exciting and educational soccer. Emphasis will be placed on individual skills, positional training, team tactics, small-side games and match play. Individual creativity will be encouraged in order to develop confidence in our campers. Our goal is to foster a positive attitude toward the game of soccer. Passing, receiving, dribbling, defending and finishing will be a major focus of our sessions. Players will be grouped according to age, ability and experience. The staff to player ratio is kept low to provide individualized instruction.
Carroll Soccer Camp Goalkeeper Training offers the most unique training in the game of soccer. Players will be grouped according to age and ability. The camp staff will discuss and demonstrate the technical, tactical and psychological dimensions of the position. Goalkeepers will focus on: catching, distribution, footwork, angle play, high balls, and decision-making. All goalkeepers are welcome to this informative five days of training.

In-person registration is available prior to the start of the first day of camp beginning at 9:00 a.m. The registration fee is $90 per participant and can be paid with cash or check.

Improve your individual and team skills with the Carroll High School Volleyball coaching staff through progression training and daily team play. This camp focuses on ball handling, serving, hitting training, setting, individual and team defense, and team offense. Walk-ups are accepted on the first day of camp. This camp features on-field instruction and application of football fundamentals for young players. Campers will learn foundational skills from the Carroll varsity athletes and coaches and will be taught multiple position-specific drills and techniques that will jump start their youth football experience. Every athlete who registers by July 11th will receive a camp t-shirt. Walk-up registration is open on the first day of camp. Varsity football players are looking forward to passing on their experience to the next group of future Patriots!
Varsity Head Coach Cody Byrd invites all youth parents to attend a brief meeting on July 27 at 6 p.m. Coach Byrd will detail the mission of Carroll football and the vital relationship between our youth and varsity programs. All campers will become proficient in cradling, passing & catching, shooting, defensive fundamentals, as well as face-off techniques. The camp can also provide goalie training. Through drills and fundamentals, the campers will progress to half and full field games through odd-man, unsettled play, and offense-defense transition.

Track & Field/Cross Country
A fun and free three-day camp (June 7-9) for students entering grades 1-9. Session I is for students entering grades 1-4 and runs from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. each night. Session II is for students entering grades 5-9 and runs from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. each night. The camp will offer instruction from Carroll coaches and athletes in the following events:
- Distance Running/Cross Country
- Long Jump
- High Jump
- Pole Vault (Coaches' approval required)
- Shot Put
PATS (Patriot Adaptive Training and Sports) Camp is a four-day camp provided by Carroll High School for children with special needs. Each day, the camp focuses on a different sport with support from current Carroll High School athletes.
- Monday: Soccer and Tennis
- Tuesday: Basketball and Track
- Wednesday: Lacrosse and Volleyball
- Thursday: Football, Cheerleading, and Closing Circle
PATS Camp is completely free of charge! Each camper will receive a free t-shirt among other things throughout the week. Campers are not required to attend every day. Youth Band Camp
Young musicians are invited to join this camp to improve their musical skills on band instruments! This camp features a recital on the final day of camp!

The Youth Drama Camp teaches the fundamentals of acting by implementing a series of programs tailored for kids entering grades 5-9. Each student will learn Improvisation, Character Development, Acting, Singing, Dancing, Fundamentals of Set Construction, Stage Makeup, Costume Design, Technical Theater, and Scene Design. A t-shirt, daily snack, and pizza party are provided for the students. The camp ends with a student show for families at Noon on the big stage with sound and lights! Young Artist Camp
This is the art camp of all art camps! With all new content for 2022, campers will get to act and feel like real artists all week long! Our young artists will explore drawing, painting, and sculpture, while also learning about famous artists and their styles. At the end of the week, campers will be rewarded with a pizza party for all their hard work and host an art show for their family. Additionally, campers will receive their very own sketchbook and blank tote bag to design throughout the week. For all who enjoy art, this camp will not disappoint!
This camp is for students entering grades 5-8 and runs June 13-17 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Trying to meet everyone’s expectations, so much homework you don’t even know where to start, studying for several quizzes at once -- it can all be so overwhelming, leading to insomnia, tension, or an inability to make important decisions. In this camp, you will learn to use different tools that you can apply to lighten the toll. Public Speaking & Giving Presentations
You need to give a presentation, but the pure thought of speaking in front of an audience with everyone’s attention directed exclusively on you is making you want to disappear, just get through it somehow, and for it to be over? In this class, you will learn to overcome the fear of giving presentations and to be comfortable with yourself in this situation. Choose your own topic for the presentation you will give in class and bring any needed materials. This will be a safe environment for all participants! Young woodworkers will use classic and modern tools to create two projects: plaques with a Computer Numerical Control machine, and a wooden pen. Campers are also invited to a pizza party at the end of camp. Please contact Camp Director Mike Lakin for information.
Young Authors Writing Camp
Do you enjoy creative writing? Do you want to get a head start on your writing journey at Carroll High School? Sign up for our Young Authors summer writing camp! We will write fairytales, short stories, and media responses that are based on a variety of fun prompts. Campers will create a short writing portfolio by the end of the week to take with them and will have the opportunity to present their work! We are all growing in our writing abilities, and this class is intended to stretch our imaginations. This camp will explore ancient warfare from Greek and Roman history. Campers will learn about major historical battles, tactics, and armor. Campers will also make their own Greek and Roman shields, learn to march and advance in formation, and form defensive lines.
