Taking the High School Placement Test

Students who apply to Archbishop Carroll High School as freshmen are required by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to take the HSPT as part of the application process.  This test will take place at all Archdiocesan high schools on Saturday, November 22, 2025.   The cost of this test is $30. Registration for this test will open August 1st and registration will close November 19th. HSPT Accommodation Form

High School Placement Test Prep Sessions

Students can sign up to take a prep session to help prepare them for the High School Placement Test.  A math and language arts teacher from Archbishop Carroll High School will help students prepare for the test by going over a variety of testing strategies, reviewing the format of the test, going over sample test questions, and more.  The cost of the prep session is $40 per student and students should only sign up for one session.  Please contact Heather Terbay, Director of Enrollment, with questions at (937)253-8188 x305 or hterbay@carrollhs.org.

Shadow a Patriot for the Day

Shadowing a current Archbishop Carroll High School student is a great way to experience all that Carroll has to offer!  Shadows for the 2025-2026 school year will open up on August 15, 2025.  Please contact Director of Enrollment, Heather Terbay, at hterbay@carrollhs.org or (937)253-8188 x305 if you have further questions.

Set up a Tour

One of the best ways to experience Carroll is to plan a school tour!  Visitors will receive a personalized visit with Heather (Taylor) Terbay '98, Director of Enrollment.  This unique experience is designed to let a student who is unfamiliar with Carroll picture himself or herself as a Patriot by receiving a behind the scenes look at what makes Carroll such a special place to learn and grow.  Set up your tour today!

Open House

Open House will be held for all families interested in learning more about Archbishop Carroll High School on Sunday, October 26th from 1:00-4:00 pm.  Come for a guided tour to meet faculty and staff, learn more about our House System, meet our coaches, and see what Carroll has to offer your student academically, spiritually, and socially.  We look forward to meeting you!

Chalk Talk

Chalk Talks offer families a smaller, more intimate setting to learn more information about Archbishop Carroll from our principal, Mr. Matt Sableski, select teachers, and students.  This forum offers parents the opportunity to ask questions during the event and hear more about academic offerings, the admissions process, scholarships and financial aid and so much more!  Chalk Talks will take place on Wednesday, October 15th and Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00 pm in St. John the Evangelist Chapel at Archbishop Carroll High School.  Please register for this event.

Applications for Admission, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

Applications for admission to Archbishop Carroll High School will open Monday, September 15, 2025 for the 2026-2027 school year.  The application fee will be $50 and is non-refundable.

The applications for scholarships and financial aid offerings will be available October 1, 2025.  All materials for application, scholarships, and financial aid are due December 1, 2025.

Submit a Request for Records

Please fill out and return the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Release of Records to your grade school office.  This form is made available through your Catholic grade school office and authorizes the release of your transcripts from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, as well as standardized test scores, and IEP/ISP plans, if applicable.  If you do not attend a Catholic grade school, Archbishop Carroll High School will provide you with a release of records to take to your current school.

Letters of Acceptance

After reviewing application materials, Archbishop Carroll High School will notify accepted students via mail in mid-January 2026.

Enrollment and Course Selection

After completing the online enrollment process, all incoming freshmen and transfer students will be invited to select their courses for the 2026-2027 school year.  Our wonderful guidance counselors will meet with students and parents by appointment to make their course selections.

Welcome Party for the Class of 2030

Meet your new classmates and start building new friendships!  Parents are invited to attend information sessions to help your family adjust to life as new Patriots.  This fun event will take place before the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
