We partner with Sinclair Community College to offer several courses that allow our students to begin their college careers while still under the mentorship of our faculty. 120 Carroll students earned 892 college credits during the 2024-25 academic year while saving more than $130,000 in college tuition. Many of our students not only pass their courses but thrive while doing so, with 87% earning either an A or B grade.

Students seeking the most rigorous course load can participate in Advanced Placement Courses. Carroll's 18 AP courses are equivalent to introductory level university classes and also offer an opportunity for students to stand out on college applications and earn college credit through the AP Exam program.

The College Board has recognized Archbishop Carroll High School with a silver medal on the AP Honor Roll for developing an AP program that creates a college-going culture by giving students opportunities to earn college credit and maximize their college outcomes.

According to the National Merit Scholarship Program Website, The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition among high school students for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships that began in 1955. The program is conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®), a not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance. United States high school students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which serves as an initial screen of over 1.3 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
