Interested in being a part of Carroll's Spring Musical, Little Women? Join the makeup crew! We will be having a short meeting after school tomorrow, Friday, February 26th in room 209. No experience is necessary and it is a great way to be involved without having to make a huge commitment.
Youth in Government will meet for a mandatory meeting on Monday, March 1st, immediately after school in Study Hall. If you cannot attend, you must contact Mrs. Terry in advance. Everyone also needs to go online and register by February 28th. The link check your email for the link.

The first meeting for Carroll's new Allied Health Club is today after school from 3:30-4:30 pm in Classroom 300. Dr. Nick Herrin '08 from the Kettering Medical Center will be there to talk about careers in Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, and other Allied Health Services. Anyone is welcome!

Official Outdoor Track and Field practice starts tomorrow, Tuesday. Anyone who is interested in joining has two options for practice tomorrow. Distance runners will practice from 3:30pm to 5:30pm and should meet outside by the stadium. All other events (Sprinters, Jumpers, Hurdlers, and Throwers) will practice from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and should meet in the Aux Gym. If you can't make tomorrow’s practice, stop by the athletic office to pick up information so you can contact Coach Triola.
Women’s lacrosse evaluations and tryouts begin for new players tonight in the main gym from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. New players and the Red team should report 10 minutes earlier to check in. Blue team should check in at 8:20.
Congratulations to Senior Kevin Agnew who broke the Indoor School Records in the 1600m Run and the 3200m Run. The previous records were held by Chadd Kiggins (Class of 2011) who was the D1 1600m Indoor State Champion and Mike Laughlin (Class of 2017) who was the D2 3200m Indoor and Outdoor State Champion. Congratulations Kevin!

Anyone wishing to sing or play an instrument in the choir for Ash Wednesday mass, even if you’ve never done it before, are encouraged to come to our first practice - after school today in the chapel. See Mr. Brun in room 210 if you would like to be part of the choir.
Tomorrow is the last day to purchase Valentine’s during family room in the main Lobby. Don’t forget to bring your money!

Women’s Lacrosse will hold workouts in the aux gym this Wednesday, February 10th. The 9th and 10th grades plus all new players will work out from 7:30 to 8:30. Juniors and Seniors will be from 8:30 to 9:30. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Congratulations to Carroll swimmers. On the boys side, Luke Sullivan advanced to the District Meet in the 200 freestyle and the 100 back. The 200 and 400 freestyle relays of Mason Barber, Nathan Barber, Nick Miller, Ethan Dean, and Luke Sullivan also advanced. For the ladies at Sectionals, Julia Quinn advanced in the 200 and 500 freestyle, McKenna Clark in the 50 and 100 freestyle, Rois Bultemeyer in the 200 IM and the 100 breast, Maggie Ollier as an alternate in the 500 freestyle. Girls 200 and 500 style relays made up of Ollier, Bultemeyer, Clark, and Quinn Palso move on to Districts. Congratulations to all.

Congratulations to the Carroll Bowling teams that finished 2nd at the GCL tournament. Kaylee Stemmer was the first place medalist and All Tournament Team for the girls. Michael Gaubeaux, Eric Bui, and Jacob Wilson made the All Tournament Team on the boys side. Way to go “Alley Pats”!
There is a musical crew informational meeting after school in the cafeteria today. Come sign up for stage, costumes, or makeup crew and get more info.
Congrats to the Indoor Track and Field team that competed at the Logan #2 Indoor Meet. The boys team finished in 4th place out of 30 teams and the girls team finished in 4th place out of 22 teams. Congrats also to Sophie Brun who ran at the Virginia Beach Indoor Showcase. Sophie broke the indoor school record in both the 3200m Run and 1600m Run.

Congratulations to the Indoor Track and Field team that competed at the Mount Vernon Indoor Meet. The boys team finished in 4th place out of 15 teams and the girls team finished in 6th place out of 17 teams. Kevin Agnew came in 1st place in the 3200m Run, Cole Ryan came in 2nd place in the Shot Put and Weight Throw, David Ferguson came in 2nd place in the High Jump, and the girls 4x800m Relay team of Grace Braun, Gabby Perkins, McKenna Lange, and Maggie Poor came in 2nd place. Special congratulations to Cole Ryan for breaking the Indoor School Record in the Shot Put and for Sophie Bruhn breaking the Indoor School Record in the 3200m Run.
Junior class officers don’t forget there is a meeting today after school in room 114.
Open auditions for the musical, Little Women, are this Monday January 18th at 10:30 am in the cafeteria. All students are invited to audition! Stop by the bookstore this week to sign up for your spot at auditions and get more information.

Carroll's Call for Talent 2021 is Thursday, January 28th at 7 pm. We are looking for talented students to perform in front of a live audience. The talent show auditions are open to all Carroll students. Auditions are virtual this year. Bus Transportation for Finals Week:
Students taking morning exams:
All buses will transport students TO school as usual Monday through Thursday. The Xenia bus will transport students home after exams at 10:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. They CANNOT take you home on Thursday.
Beavercreek and Fairborn buses will NOT be able to transport you home after you finish exams.
Students taking afternoon exams:
You will NOT have transportation TO SCHOOL.
The Fairborn and Xenia buses will pick up after exams on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday.
Beavercreek buses will pick up students after exams on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only. They CANNOT transport you HOME on Thursday.

Congratulations to the men's cross-country team for finishing 8th place at the State Meet on Saturday. Kevin Agnew became a two-time All State athlete and the highest finisher in Carroll history by claiming 4th place overall. Jack Agnew just missed All State honors (top 30) with a 32nd place finish. Drew Maxwell, Logan Arnold, Seth Tivakaran, Hayden Everding and Nathan Schiffler rounded out the state team. Congratulations on another outstanding cross-country season!

Congratulations to the Men's cross-country team for qualifying to the State Championships next Saturday in Columbus. The team claimed the Regional Runner-up trophy. Kevin Agnew repeated as the individual Regional Champion. Jack Agnew joined him as an individual State qualifier by finishing 7th. Drew Maxwell finished 20th, Logan Arnold in 22nd, and Seth Tivakaran in 30th to score for the Patriots. Hayden Everding and Nathan Schiffler rounded out the varsity team. Good luck to the team when they compete at the Fortress Obetz Sports Complex at noon on Saturday.
Congratulations also to the women's cross-country team who narrowly missed qualifying to State. They were led by Grace Braun in 15th, just 3 places short of an individual state qualifier. She was followed closely by Maggie Poor in 21st. Sarah Ochs, Sophie Mock, Nataly Duenas-Diaz, Trinity Raber, and Madi Werner all raced tough for the Lady Patriots. Congratulations on an outstanding season!

Girls Basketball Tryouts today from 4:30-6:30
Congratulations to the cross country teams who swept the GCL Championships, winning all 4 men’s and women’s varsity and JV races. This was the 10th Championship in a row for the varsity men and 3rd in a row for the varsity women. Earning All GCL honors for the men were Kevin Agnew, Jack Agnew, Logan Arnold, Seth Tivakaran, Nathan Schiffler, and Hayden Everding. Earning All GCL honors for the women were Grace Braun, Maggie Poor, Sarah Ochs, Nataly Duenas-Diaz, Madi Werner, Sophie Mock, and Trinity Raber.
Also, congratulations to the men’s team for winning their 14th District Title this past Saturday. Both men’s and women’s teams successfully advanced to the Regional Finals on Saturday in Troy. The men race at noon and the women at 1:00. Good luck Patriot runners!

Calling all Math Patriots, the first Ohio Math League contest of the year will be held virtually after school from 2:50-3:20pm on Tuesday, October 13! This contest allows you to compete against other Carroll students and against other schools. Congratulations to the cross country teams for outstanding performances on Saturday at the Midwest Catholic Championships. Seventeen teams from all over Ohio and as far as Illinois competed for the Championship. The Lady Patriots ran strong to claim the Runner-up title and the Carroll men were team champions. Kevin Agnew repeated as individual champion. Congratulations cross country runners!
Women’s Lacrosse will begin “Stickwork Thursday’s” this Thursday, October 1st on Eastmont Field. Beginner’s will be from 4:00 to 4:30 PM. Sticks are provided for those that need one. Returning Players will be from 4:30 to 5:15 PM on Thursday.

Earning 4 points, the juniors and sophomores with a tie at 75% participation

Seniors if you are interested in winning a chance to attend the Homecoming game, please swing by the office this week and put your name in the basket by Wednesday at 3:00. You may only put your name in once. We will randomly draw names to attend the game. If you are a football player, cheerleader, flag patrol member, or band member, you already get to attend so no need to put your name in for a ticket. If your name is drawn, you may not give your ticket away. All names will be listed at the gate and you must present your Carroll ID and voucher to get in.

The Patriot men dominated the 11 team race and the Lady Patriots were runner-ups in the women's race. Kevin Agnew was the individual champion, followed by Drew Maxwell, Jack Agnew, Logan Arnold, and Seth Tivakaran. Grace Braun led the Patriots with Sarah Ochs, Sophie Mock, Maggie Poor, and Meredith Sanders rounding out the scoring. Congrats to both our men’s and women’s Cross Country teams who placed 3rd out of 11 teams at their meet on Saturday at Bellbrook. Kevin Agnew finished 1st setting a course record. Kevin was followed by Nathan Schiffler, Logan Arnold and Seth Tivakaran in 12th, 13th & 14th overall. Grace Braun finished 9th followed by Sarah Ochs in 19th, Meredith Sanders in 24th and Maddie Werner in 26th and Maggie Poor. Congrats to all of our runners!

Reminder: Students are not allowed to park on campus without the proper permit, which can be purchased in the main office. Cars can and will be towed after an initial warning.
