Students have no fear! We will still be offering tutoring. Watch your email for a meet code for the time and day for various sessions. Go to the meeting and get signed up with a tutor or a teacher to tutor you via google hangout. 

All senior Spanish Honor Society members please drop off your money for your grad cord today or see Señorita in room 311 to at least order them. All SHS members be sure you are signed up for the remind 101 correctly before leaving school today. All tutors check the clipboard to ensure you are signed up to tutor.

Juniors please join us for JUNIOR PARENT COLLEGE NIGHT.  This event will be held on Monday, March 30th at 7:00pm in the Carroll High School cafeteria and will feature vital insight on the college admissions process from the counselors and special guest, Mr. Robert Durkle, Assistant VP for Enrollment Management at the University of Dayton.

Any student that is entering the military and will be receiving a scholarship, please come to the guidance office to see Mrs. Lightner.  There is a form to fill out if you want your recruiter to present you with your scholarship at the senior awards assembly on May 22nd. Deadline to turn into guidance is April 20th.

Academic Team t-shirts are in. Pick them up from Mrs. Baker today. 

Attention Track and Field, including anyone who was planning to join the team.  Please check your email or go to the track team website (carrolltrackandfield.com) this weekend for important information regarding workouts for the next 3 weeks. Please listen carefully regarding the pick up times for bus riders for the rest of the week:

Thursday:  Xenia will be the only bus picking up at 1pm  Fairborn and Beavercreek will pick up at regular times.

Friday:  The Fairborn AND Xenia buses will pick up students at noon on Friday, March 13.  The Beavercreek bus will pick up at the usual time.

Tonight’s band concert is canceled.  We will look for a date for all CHS bands and winter guard to perform for parents after the musical.

     Official Carroll Outdoor Track and Field practice starts today after school. Anyone interested in joining this year's team should plan to meet out at the track at 3:30. There will be a short meeting followed by practice, so come dressed ready to work out outside. If you plan to join the team but can't make practice today, please try to stop by the track to see Coach Triola before you leave school.

          The Carroll Indoor Track and Field Team competed in the State Championships this past weekend. Congratulations to the following athletes who earned All-State Honors by finishing in the top 8 in their events: Kevin Agnew (3200m Run-8th); Amelia Harlow (High Jump-8th); Alaina Casey, Meghan Schrand, Catherine Berent, Taylor Smith (4x400m Relay-5th); Meghan Schrand, Alaina Casey, Grace Braun, Catherine Berent (4x800m Relay-8th). Congratulations to the rest of the Carroll Track and Field athletes who competed in the State Championships: Donovan LaJeunesse (60m Hurdles-10th, Triple Jump-15th, Long Jump-18th); David Ferguson (High Jump-25th); Breana Devillier (High Jump-18th, Pole Vault-21st); Alaina Casey, Taylor Smith, Meghan Schrand, Meredith Goecke (4x200m Relay-9th); Grant Arnold, Javier Barajas, Will Moddeman, Michael Osgood (4x800m Relay-20th). The Girls 4x200m, 4x400m, and 4x800m Relays all broke the Indoor School Records. This is the 11th year in a row that Carroll has had an athlete earn All State Honors at the Indoor Track and Field State Championships.

Senior athletes, the deadline to apply for the Rob Berry Memorial Scholarship is this Friday.  Only Carroll students are eligible for this $1,000 scholarship. Check your e-mail for a message from Mr. Franz with a link to the application.

Science Olympiad will meet today at 3:30 and Thursday right after school in Dr. O’Malley’s room, 110.

Ms. Stanifer and Ms. O’Malley will help guide the conversation.  We look forward to hearing all your voices. 

Students, if you are in need of any binders, there were several boxes of binders donated.  They are located in the hallway by the main office.

Attention all Carroll students, your creativity is needed! The annual Photography Contest is here again, so grab your camera and start taking pictures. The four categories are people, landscapes, objects and nature.  All students are welcome to enter. There will be prizes for the top three winners of each category. On Saturday Carroll had 36 students participate in Montgomery County Science Day and of those, 31 students earned superior rankings. Jack Agnew, Kevin Agnew, Ryan Ballou, Grace Braun, Hayden Everding, David Ferguson, Meredith Sanders, Karissa Speakman, Caroline Wittman, and Katie Wittman combined to win 16 special awards.

Additionally, Ryan Ballou and Cameron Neidhard were selected to present their research in May at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Anaheim, California. Anthony Gabriele was selected as an alternate.

As you know by now, the girls' basketball team has won the District Championship and is on to the Regionals starting tomorrow.  The winner of this game moves on to the elite eight in the state. We need the Carroll Crazies out in full force to pay attention to the following:

Valley View is expected to bring an enormous crowd, so let’s make sure we have more fans there than they do!  Hope to see and hear you there!

Congratulations to the Carroll wrestlers that participated in the Southwest d2 sectional last weekend.  Jason King placed 5th and is an alternate for the district tournament. Jamen Hill placed 3rd and Garrett Walker was the sectional runner up. Jamen and Garrett qualify and will compete this weekend at Wilmington HS in the Southwest District Wrestling Tournament.  Good luck!

All are invited!

Attention Juniors:  You may be out of uniform tomorrow for the ACT.  Out-of-uniform rules from the handbook apply. As a friendly reminder, this means NO leggings allowed.

Women’s Lacrosse tryouts will officially start Monday from 3:30 to 5:30 in the stadium and will continue Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 in the stadium. Sticks will be provided at tryouts for girls that are new to the sport.

Any student who is interested in joining the Outdoor Track and Field Team but missed the meeting should stop by the athletic office to sign up and pick up information.
