Welcome from the Director
At Archbishop Carroll High School, we are proud of our excellent academic tradition as well as our athletic programs. Our goal is to compete at the highest level while fostering sportsmanship and leadership in our student-athletes. Extracurricular activities provide excellent opportunities to build character. As we prepare tomorrow's leaders, we hope to take advantage of these moments.
Carroll is a proud member of the Great Catholic League. The GCL is recognized among the finest leagues in the nation for its accomplishments in athletics, and more importantly, in the classroom. We are proud to compete against the fine schools in our league and look forward to the challenges of every competition

Two Carroll High School varsity sports will be led by familiar faces in the upcoming season.
Morgan Plummer ‘15 will take over the Head Coach position of the Women’s Soccer Program after spending the past seven seasons as the Junior Varsity Head Coach and an assistant on the Varsity level. During her playing days as a student, Morgan earned two varsity letters. She replaces Ian Molfenter ‘16 as the program’s head coach.
“I am extremely excited and grateful to be given this opportunity to coach the Women’s Carroll Soccer Program,” Plummer said. “Having attended Carroll as a student athlete and coaching the Junior Varsity team since the year I graduated in 2015 makes me feel even more at home while I begin this new journey. It’s always exciting to meet a new group of girls every season and rewarding to watch them grow in life and as soccer players over the next four years. I am looking forward to teaching them good work ethic and how to work together as a team to accomplish a common goal: victory.”
In the winter, Carroll Athletic Hall of Famer Nick Terbay '02 will begin his first season as the Wrestling Head Coach. During his time as a member of the Patriot wrestling program, Nick placed in the top eight at the state tournament three times, including a runner-up finish in his senior season. Nick is also a 2000 Cadet National Runner up-Freestyle, 2001 Greco Roman World Team Member, and the 2002 Greco Roman Junior National Champion. As a member of the Ohio University wrestling team, Nick was a three-time team captain and recipient of the 2004 Ohio University Courage Award. Nick replaces Jason Ashworth who stepped down as Head Coach after ten seasons. Jason will remain at Carroll High School as a faculty member.
“We are very excited to introduce Nick Terbay and Morgan Plummer as Head Coaches for the Carroll Patriots,” Carroll Athletic Director Scott Molfenter said. “They were both outstanding student-athletes, and we have no doubt that their knowledge of the sports and passion for preparation will benefit our student-athletes. These programs have a proud tradition, and we look forward to continued success under the guidance of Coach Terbay and Coach Plummer!"
