LOCAL INSURANCE AGENCY ADDS TWO NEW PARTNERS AMID STRONG GROWTH

One of the region’s largest, locally owned insurance agencies is adding new partners amid major growth.

The Uhl Agency, led by CEO and president Bill Uhl Jr., is adding Jon Kreusch and Marc McNulty, Carroll High School 1994 Graduate, as partners.

Both were promoted from within and have been with the Paragon Road company for years, according to a statement. “These two have been so key to the kind of growth we have had that it simply made good business sense to make them partners,” Uhl said. “They both bring innovative service and skill sets to our business that will guarantee our future growth.”

Over the past nine years, The Uhl Agency has more than doubled its revenue through new sales, acquisitions and its long-term business plan, according to the release.

The company added access to new insurance companies in 2018 when it purchased a book of personal insurance from another agency.

“We have always stayed true to our long-term strategic plan and I am happy to be a part of it all in a bigger way now. Our steady growth over the last nine years is due to the culture and consistency of our team and the dependable customer service that we provide our clients each day,” Kreusch said.

The agency first launched in 1959 by Bill Uhl Sr., a University of Dayton basketball star, and has focused on customer service since, according to the release. He passed the company on to Bill Uhl Jr. and Deborah Franz in 1996 before Franz retired in 2017.

“Dad always believed in customer service and making sure the company transitioned management on to the younger generations as the business grew,” Uhl said.

Uhl Agency’s revenues from premiums top $15 million annually, according to the company. About half the agency’s business is in personal property and casualty insurance and the other half in business insurance, the company said.
