Carroll's 50th Anniversary Books still available
If you haven't ordered your 50th Anniversary  History Book...great news!  There are still some copies available!  Go to Carroll's main office during normal school hours or the Spirit Shop during home basketball games and purchase yours today!  Or, click on the order form here and we'll mail you your own copy!  Don't miss this limited edition!  It is a book you won't want to miss! 

Adult Woodworking Class Offered
February 22 - March 28   Beginning to Intermediate - This six-week course held on Wednesdays from 6-9pm, will be taught by Carroll High School woodworking instructor, Mike Lakin.  It is a hands-on course that offers fundamental knowledge of woods, woodworking tools and methods/procedures associated with basic wood construction.  A $125.00 fee will be charged which will include one project assigned by the instructor (depending on prior experience, another comparable project may be selected) as well as all wood, tools, fasteners, stain/finish, etc. required to complete this project.  The following topics will be covered over the duration of this course in addition to the completion of one project:  general safety practices, types of wood and layout, measuring, wood joints and fasteners, gluing and clamping, sanding and finishing, use of power tools and use of hand tools.  Class is limited to 18 participants so register early!  Contact Mike at mlakin@carrollhs.org to register.

Carroll Welcomes New Principal
Carroll welcomes Mr. Matthew Sableski as its new principal.  Mr. Sableski replaces Mr. Joseph Sens who is retiring at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.  Mr. Sableski is a Carroll alumnus.  He has considerable experience in teaching and technology and has served the last three years as an Assistant Principal and Dean of Academics at Alter High School where he was well-respected.  We welcome Mr. Sableski back home and look forward to having him be our academic and spiritual leader.

Carroll Science Best in Area

Congratulations to Carroll students Billy Barbaro and Ryan W. Blanford who were selected to represent the Dayton area at the International Science & Engineering Fair in Los Angeles this May.  Carroll science students have been selected to represent the area at ISEF for 7 of the last 8 years.  Carroll students were well represented at the Montgomery County Science Day and garnered a majority of the awards.
