Patriot for a Day (Shadowing)

One of the best ways to experience Carroll is to be a Patriot for a Day! Eighth grade visitors can enjoy meeting new friends, experiencing excellent and challenging classes, meeting our teachers, learning about how they will fit into our House System, and finding out first-hand how much fun it is to be a Patriot! These visits are designed to let students who are unfamiliar with Carroll picture himself or herself as a Patriot by immersing the visitor in life at the school. The Admissions Office will select a student ambassador who shares many of the visitor's interests to show the visitor how to navigate the halls, go from class to class, eat lunch with hundreds of other students, and many other aspects of high school. This unique, customized experience allows visitors to see a close look at life as a Patriot at Carroll.

You can schedule your experience as a "Patriot for a Day" by asking a parent or guardian to complete the Patriot for a Day Form! Please make arrangements at least one week prior to the day you wish to visit to ensure that your Patriot for a Day visit will be as personalized as possible.

Eighth grade students also have the opportunity to experience Eighth Grade Days. This is a structured program that allows students to visit classrooms and experience different academic departments, have lunch, hear from guidance counselors, administrators and students. We end the day with a performance from the Freedom Players and The Carroll High School Marching Patriots! This day is open to all students currently in the eighth grade in private, public, charter, or home schools. Students from our partner schools do not need to pre-register, as the eighth grade class is already scheduled to participate. All other students need to pre-register by calling (937) 253-8188 ext. 314.
