Thank you for your interest in attending Carroll High School. The information you provide in your application will enable us to better picture you as a student at Carroll, helping to guide our review and placement processes.
Please read the instructions below before beginning the application process.
1. Fill out the Carroll High School Application for Admission. Applications are available in the Main Office or can be
downloaded here.
2. Complete the
Request for School Records form and
submit it directly to your student's current school. This authorizes your school to send us your transcripts, to include academic marks from 6th, 7th and 8th grades, standardized testing results and current IEP, ISP or Service Plan, if applicable.
3. Once we receive your application, high school placement test results and school records, your application will be considered complete and ready for review. Candidates for admission to the freshman year will be notified of their status by mail.
4. An interview with the Director of Advancement & Admissions may be required, as well as teacher recommendations.
High School Placement Test:
Carroll High School is now offering the High School Placement Test (HSPT) for incoming freshmen. The HSPT for the 2013-2014 school year is on Nov. 17, 2012, at Carroll High School. Click on

Students must register online or by calling the Advancement Office at 253-3338. The testing fee can be paid on-line at time of registration or you can print the form, complete it and mail with check to Carroll High School (check made payable to Carroll High School), Attn: Admissions, 4524 Linden Ave., Dayton, OH 45432.
At testing time, students may indicate up to three high schools to which their results will be sent. In order to qualify for our scholarships, students must include Carroll High School as one of their three schools.

International Students:
Carroll High School welcomes transfer students that are in good standing at the school from which they come. Special consideration is given to students who have relocated to the area. All applications for transfer are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Fill out the
International Student Application for Carroll High School. Return Application, the last three years of grades translated into English and the application fee of $250 made payable by check or money order to Carroll High School. This application fee is non-refundable.
After your file is reviewed, a decision letter will be sent. Applications are considered on a rolling admissions basis.
There is no deadline for admission, however, class size is limited and individuals accepted early in the process will have priority course selection.
